Loosing Culture

It’s interesting that the more consciously I hide (or loose?) my South Asian culture or the “fasin” following by many Islamic nations, the more acceptance I feel from the world? I realize the entire need of “deriving a common denominator” in order to converse but how do you ensure that one party or group is not making the entire concession towards this process of funding common reference points.
