REDI - Rural Economic Development Initiative
VSO volunteers from the Philippines seem to have a monopoly over the REDI development in each of the provinces. Therefore, wouldn't it be a safe conclusion to say that the grassroots structure and activism within Vanuatu's islands is very much influenced by the Phillipino cultural and national history, especially history of resistance and community activism.
